In order to begin Foundations Training, you must have completed Encounter FaithBridge Orientation. All foster parents are required to complete Foundations Training in order to obtain their foster care license through FaithBridge. The training includes 6 in-person training sessions. The 6-sessions are divided into two different types of training environments: classroom training held at a local church and one-on-one personalized training held in the foster home. Once you complete the classroom portion of the training at a local church, a FaithBridge staff member will schedule the remaining individualized training sessions in your home. FaithBridge Foundations Training is designed to prepare foster parent applicants for the physical, emotional and spiritual demands of caring for foster children. The training covers important topics while helping families examine their hearts to determine if they are called to foster.
Unfortunately, you are ineligible to participate in the FaithBridge programs. However, please call our office if you would like to receive a list of additional foster care agencies that provide services in the geographic area where you live.
